One of my DNA factors is something causing my good cholesteral to be 1/2 the desired lower threshold.
So I find DNA research to be personal as well as an exciting explosion of knowlege - bioinfomatics is cool.

The Rough Guide to Genes & Cloning
Eye on DNA, by Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei, Posted July 18, 2007

An excellent collection of science writing is featured today in Tangled Bank #84: Science in Ancient Greece at The Voltage Gate. Jeremy shows a gorgeous, ornate book that reminds me of my first visit to Hatchards this morning. (Hatchards is special because they’ve been London “booksellers since 1797.”)….

Meanwhile my favorite conversation agent posts:

In an age where everyone is standing in the marketplace, screaming as loud as they can, it would seem the ultimate “sell” is silence.

As you’re reading this post, the new and final book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is being delivered to secret locations in North America.

Despite what you may have read about a leak, security measures have been put in place to protect the contents of the book….

She has a wonderful way with words - “In an age where everyone is standing in the marketplace, screaming as loud as they can, it would seem the ultimate ’sell’ is silence.” Well… maybe.

I got a letter today from a friend up in Bellingham, WA. Cile writes of many things, mentions her new blogging effort (fails to mention she has two blogs). Includes pictures of her new home, her cats, her painting her place while wearing swim googles, assorted friends that have dropped in over the summer, and of the sign she made for Whole Wheat Radio (visible on their site).

Whole Wheat Radio is an internet webcast originating from Talkeetna, Alaska. (Click on any blue words to find out more about that subject, but first click one of the “Listen” links on the left to hear what this is all about.)…

I wonder if they’d be interested in my three minute recording of my dad talking about learning to drive a Model-T (recorded yesterday).
